5 Natural Impotence Remedies

Straightforward steps to stimulate your sagging love life

"Impotence - that's what it must be!" He had a gentle Irish brogue and had well and truly labelled himself as "sexually dysfunctional". Philip had tried Viagra, but all it had done was produce a headache "like Nagasaki!"
"The thing is," he told me, "I need a natural remedy for impotence. Can you help me?"
What did I do to help Philip with impotence? Well, you can read about some of the approaches in my article "Male Sexual Enhancement Techniques" - such as how to maximize your psychological attitude to sex, as well as some exercises you can do to strengthen erections (here's a hint: they don't involve gym membership). But here are some other tips and techniques to help rectify the 'collapse of stout party' and get you relaxed and hard during lovemaking.

Impotence - the natural 'curse'

Failing to achieve an erection that is strong enough or sustained enough to allow for normal lovemaking is known as impotence. It can happen once or many times and the majority of men (regardless of what they may tell one another) experience it at some time. As I pointed out to Philip, actually all men are meant to be impotent for much of the time. When we are in meetings at work, doing sports, reading a weather report, or wearing Speedos on the beach, not having an erection is a good thing.
When we're under attack or feel threatened, sexual arousal is meant to switch off fast. It's a myth that men are - and always should be - capable of instant sexual arousal (regardless of, say, problems in a relationship). But repeated failure to achieve erection during foreplay can start to feel like a real problem for many men; especially if it's a problem that spans different relationships.
So what causes impotence? Well, impotence can be caused by physical or psychological factors or, of course, a combination of both. It's good to know what's been causing it.

1) Check whether there are physical causes for the impotence

Do you regularly wake up with an erection? If so, then it's unlikely the cause of impotence is physical, as all seems to be working from a 'mechanical' point of view. Illnesses such as diabetes or conditions such as high blood pressure can cause impotence, as can injury or rapidly declining hormone levels. The blood needs to circulate well in order for erections to occur, so any condition which restricts circulation, such as smoking, may prevent erections. Additionally, overindulgence in alcohol may cause 'brewers droop' by interfering with testosterone levels.
Impotence can also result as a side effect from some medications, such as antidepressants, so if you suspect there may be some medical cause for impotence, consult your doctor. Also take a look at your lifestyle. Are you drinking too much? Not exercising? Getting too little rest? Smoking like a steam train? Sexual health is a by-product of living well.

2) Don't think yourself into impotence

Robin Williams once reputedly said: "God gave men both a penis and a brain, but unfortunately not enough blood supply to run both at the same time."
After laughing at this quote, I thought about it. (Don't you just hate it when people think about something before laughing at it?) On the face of it, this remark seems disparaging toward men. And it's often said that men give pet names to their penises because they "like to know who's dictating their behaviour". But actually women are led by their sex drives just as much as men sometimes and can also make "mistakes", ending up in bed with "the wrong man". We are all, to some extent, led by our desires.
I reckon the usefulness of Williams's remark (apart from the humour : ) ) is to highlight that over-analysis of sex can spoil it completely. "Will I/won't I achieve an erection?" is just too much pressure. The fact is that when enjoying sex, we really don't need to be thinking too much. When you focus on physical closeness and the enjoyment of being together naked, an erection becomes a by-product of the experience, not the end in itself. Stop trying to get an erection and focus on physical closeness - if an erection happens, it happens. But this is easier said than done, so...

3) Use self-hypnosis to relax about your sexual performance

It's easy for me to say: "Don't worry about whether you get hard or not!" But, of course, much impotence is caused by worrying, and stress switches desire off pretty rapidly. Self-hypnosis is a wonderful way to help you change your mindset and help you experience sex beyond concern with penile mechanics. In ancient China, the eunuchs reputedly made the best lovers because (without the use of a penis) they used much more imagination during lovemaking. To get a feel for self–hypnosis, listen to this short and free hypnosis audio.

4) Remember: impotence happens in context

If you've been experiencing impotence, it may be that you are bored in your relationship or with your lover and need to spice things up a bit. As the old joke has it: "Please don't come to bed yet; I haven't had a chance to think of anyone!"
Perhaps there are resentments in your relationship or your lover pressures you. Lovemaking isn't something you do to your partner, but with them. Give yourself a break sometimes - it would be amazing if a man didn't experience impotence in some contexts. It's not a reflection on you as a man, but perhaps rather your relationship or lifestyle.

5) Improve your circulation

Smoking is a very effective way of spoiling efficient blood circulation, which is why heavy smokers experience fewer erections than non-smokers. Any way you can improve blood circulation will strengthen your erections (as well as providing you with other obvious overall health benefits). Exercise, diet, and relaxation will all improve the flow of blood around your body. As will certain foods. For example, taking Ginkgo biloba for several months seems to have a hugely beneficial effect for many men (1). Eating garlic regularly may well have a similar effect (although taking it in tablet form may enable you to actually get close enough to use your erection!).
Take a look at my male sexual enhancement article for more tips on how to naturally overcome impotence and keep positive - because you can get your mojo back.

13 Natural Foods for Male Sexual Enhancement

In this article you will discover 13 foods that are beneficial to male sexual health. Many foods in your kitchen can significantly contribute to increased libido, stamina and a bigger penis the natural way!

You are what you eat. A familiar phrase touted by dieticians. But if you aren’t selective about what you eat, some foods could wind up eating you. Regardless, there are healthy foods and non-healthy foods – and all do one thing or another aside from providing you with calories and nutrition to help you run that carbon-dioxide engine commonly known as your body.

Some foods help you sleep better, like turkey with tryptophan. Some fight bacteria and fungus, like garlic. And some foods even help increase your appetite. Not for food — your sexual appetite! These foods are referred to as aphrodisiacs. And you probably already have many of them right in your own kitchen.

Ever since the dawn of time, when man tasted that bitter fruit, he knew some foods had marvelous powers. The ancient Romans thought that about hippo snouts and hyena eyeballs. Traditional Chinese medicine used ground tiger penis and rhino horn to improve sexual libido and erections. Today, modern man discovered some foods that did just that. He called them “aphrodisiacs,” and found them right in his kitchen.

Spices

They’re not called spices for nothing — they’re spicy. And enhance erections.
Aniseed Aniseed. Many people believe aniseed to be an aphrodisiac that will increase physical and mental interest and desire for sex and cause more erect erections just by sucking on the seeds.
Basil Basil. An effective all-purpose spice that stimulates the entire uro-genital system, boosts the sex drive, and gives erections an uplift, while providing a sense of well-being during the sex act.
Ginger Ginger. Ingested raw, cooked or in crystal form, ginger is a stimulant to the circulatory system with the powers to re-awaken sexual desire and produce more intense erections.
Nutmeg Nutmeg. Taken in just the right amount, it’s an aphrodisiac that increases erections and bodily responses of the erogenous zones to sexual stimuli. In larger doses it can evoke hallucinatory sexual fantasies.

Foods

Almonds Almonds. A major source of essential fatty acids that are vital in the production of testosterone, the viscosity and regulation of blood flow and the healthy makeup of every cell membrane in the body, all contributors of sexual energy.
Asparagus Asparagus. Its phallic shape is suggestive of what powers it has, in addition to the vitamin E it contains that is known to stimulate the secretion of the life-force behind erections– testosterone.
Bananas Bananas. A sex symbol if there ever was one. As well as being suggestive and having psychologically arousing properties, its vitamin B and potassium content is essential for sex hormone production, the enzyme bromelain’s pain-relieving action also heightens sex drive.
Celery Celery. Contains the hormone androsterone, an odorless excretion of the sweat glands said to arouse females, but related to growth of the male sex organ that also has aphrodisiac properties.
Chili Pepper Chili Peppers. Many “hot” foods contain capsaicin that stimulates areas of the nervous system associated with sex, while raising our endorphin levels and elevating feelings of well-being, it also raises erections.
Chocolate Chocolate. For a female, when roses won’t do it, chocolate usually will. And for a male, a stimulant in chocolate called phenylethylamine creates a natural high, and a sexual excitement that combines with theobromine– a caffeine-like substance that many believe to be the underlying force behind extreme sexual passion and intense erections.
Figs Figs. The female counterpart to the male banana. Since the days of early Rome has been accredited as the number two sexual stimulant food aside from oysters. More from myth than any scientific or chemical reason, however, there is evidence of the presence of amino acids in figs increasing potency.
Mixed Nuts Nuts. Peanuts, cashews, walnuts, even granola and chickpeas contain large amounts of the amino acid L-Arginine. One of the nine most essential aminos found in the body that it can’t manufacture at all. High in nitric oxide content needed to relax smooth penile muscle tissue – this results in improved blood circulation within the penis and more rigid, extended erections.
Oysters Oysters. The number one aphrodisiac of all time – raw oysters are rich in zinc, a mineral needed for the manufacture of testosterone. Also because its high zinc content increases sperm production– it is thought to add to the powerful impetus behind erections and orgasms.
Here’s food for thought — the greatest aphrodisiac is your mind.

There is no doubt about it. Sex originates in the mind; from there signals are sent through the central nervous system to alert almost every organ and gland in the body. If there’s enough testosterone secreted, enough blood flowing to and within the penis and no structural, psychological or physiological anomaly present, your body will respond with, and maintain an erection.

Food, spices and other additives, either found in nature or made in laboratories can positively influence erections so that the entire sexual experience can be both pleasurable and satisfying for both you and your partner. Make these aphrodisiac foods part of your normal diet, and they could only further enhance man’s greatest need – the act of sex. Good appetite!

Best Natural Home Remedies To Cure Thin and Watery Semen

Thin and watery semen is one of the major sexual problem of many males. Low sperm count, smoking, drug abuse, stress, hormonal imbalance, lack of fructose and poor diet plan are some common causes of thin and watery semen. Excessive sexual activity and frequent masturbation are some other causes of thin and watery semen. However you can cure this problem by following some natural remedies which are given below:

Natural Home Remedies To Cure Thin Semen

1. Fructose Rich Foods

As Fructose is one of the main component of semen so a diet poor in fructose may result in thinning of semen. You can replenish your fructose deficiency by eating food rich in carbohydrates. Fruits and vegetables are rich source of fructose so try to include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet plan. Apple, berries, pears, grapes, dates, guava, mango, pineapple and watermelon and rich sources of fructose. Cucumber, cabbage, tomato, lettuce and onions are good sources of fructose.

2. Dried Dates and Milk

Soak 5-7 dry dates(chhuhara) in milk for 2-3 hours or until they become soft. Eat them with milk daily to cure thinning of semen. Dates are excellent source of carbohydrates and dietary fibers. They also contain a good amount of Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5 and small amount of Vitamin A1. Dates(khajur) not only improve overall energy level but also increase sexual stamina and help to make your semen dense.

3. Zinc Rich Foods

Sometimes zinc deficiency also cause thinning of semen. Oyster, lamb(mutton), almonds, peanuts, pine nuts(chilgoza), cashews and sunflower seeds are good sources of Zinc.

4. Selenium Rich Foods

Selenium is also essential for proper thickening of semen. Brazil Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Fish(salmon, sardines and tuna), Oyster, Lamb(mutton),chicken, eggs, wheat germ, barley, brown rice, oats and onion are good sources of selenium.

5. Vitamin C, E, and B12 Rich Foods

Sometimes deficiency of certain vitamins may also lead to thinning of semen. Increase your intake of Food rich in Vitamins C, E, B12 in your diet plan.

6. Reduce your Stress Level

Reduce your stress level because stress is also responsible for hormonal imbalance and cause thinning of semen. You can reduce your stress level by regular practice of yoga or meditation.

7. Regular Exercise Along with Healthy Foods

Exercise is important to strengthen the body muscles and and adequate production of semen. Regular exercise not only helps to overcome the problem of thin semen but also helps to reduce your overall stress level. After exercise don't forget to fuel your body with healthy foods including fresh fruits and vegetables otherwise fructose deficiency may further lead to thinning of semen.

8. Proper Sleep

Proper and uninterrupted sleep of 6-8 hours is essential for healthy brain because only a healthy brain is able to release a balanced amount of sex hormones for proper thickening of semen.

Some Precautions and Useful Tips

(i)If you are a diabetic patient fructose rich food are hazardous to you so avoid consuming them before consulting a doctor.

(ii)Avoid Masturbation because the men who indulge in over masturbation start producing poor quality semen due to weakness of muscles. Testes require 48-72 hours to replenish sperms that`s why daily masturbation or ejaculation not only reduces the amount of semen available for each ejaculation but also reduce sperm count in semen and hence results in thinning of semen.

(iii)Maintain a gap of 3 days between two consecutive ejaculations. More times you ejaculate, the less dense your semen will be because daily ejaculation reduces the amount of semen available during each ejaculation. So for dense semen and healthy sperms have sex with your partner at least after 2 or 3 days.

(iv)Avoid Smoking because it not only damage blood vessels but also restrict the oxygen supply to blood and decrease sperm production and also decrease their life span.

(v)Avoid alcohol because it affects your liver function, which, in turn disturb hormonal levels. Even two drinks a day will have long term effects on sperm production. So strictly avoid alcohol intake.

(vi)Avoid hot baths because over heating is dangerous for sperms.

(vii)If you don't get rid of thinning of semen by using above remedies then don't rely only on these home remedies and consult your problems with doctor because sometimes thinning of semen may be a cause of an other underlying sexual disease.

Home Remedies for Erectile Dysfunction and Impotence...

Erectile dysfunction or impotence is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient enough for sexual intercourse. It can occur at any age but is most common in men over the age of 50. Now you may not realize this but erectile dysfunction is actually a very common problem. In fact, according to the Massachusetts Male Aging Study, 50% of the male population suffer from impotence! So if this is you then this statistic should make you feel better straight away because it shows that you’re definitely not alone… not by a long shot! 5

The biggest problem with this condition is most men don’t like to talk about it or even admit that they have trouble getting and maintaining an erection - so instead - they usually keep it to themselves and “suffer in silence”. As a man myself though I do get this. I mean, I couldn’t imagine sitting down with a mate and telling him I’m unable to get good wood. I know for women it’s very different and many females are happy to talk about their bedroom problems with their close friends. But as men we just don’t like to do this! (Yes I’ll start beating my chest like a baboon in a minute). Even talking about it with our partner or a therapist would be hard (pardon the pun) for most of us guys because as “men” our sexual performance is considered an indication of our virility and masculinity (well, according to us fellas anyway!)

Yes, I’m having a bit of a joke here but that’s really how many of us males (especially the non-SNAG’s) are. And the truth is, as men we want to be able to please and perform for our partners all of the time. Maybe that goes back to our caveman days, I don’t know, but if we’re unable to do this then it IS upsetting and it DOES affect us a great deal, no matter how understanding and comforting you ladies are. That’s why most guys get angry and suffer from anxiety when they have an impotence problem (which of course just makes things worse). Fortunately, the natural remedies we're about to discuss can treat and fix erectile dysfunction quite easily.

Penis Enlargement

Overview

Many males are concerned with the size of their penis. There are countless magazine advertisements, commercials on television, and Internet specials that advertise various ways of enlarging a male's penis. These methods include surgery, drugs, supplements, pumps and exercises. It is difficult to find solid scientific data concerning the validity of these claims, and the possible side effects. This is partly because much of the science is so recent that long-term studies have not yet produced clear results. The companies that are selling these products also hire many of the scientists who are publishing these very results, causing significant bias.
The authoritative source on the subject of penis enlargement is the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has not approved any method of penis enlargement. Some websites attempt to avoid this fact by advertising their products as "FDA approved," when in fact they are only FDA approved for other applications. For example, there are pumps on the market that are FDA approved for the treatment of impotence but not penis enlargement (as advertised). Some websites use ambiguous wording to trick consumers into buying a product for the wrong reasons, such as, "We offer an FDA-approved product to assist with impotence and the user may gain up to 3 inches or more!" Websites offering pills and creams tend to not address the FDA-approval issue, which should be evidence enough that they are not FDA approved and are, in fact, invalid products.

Treatment

Exercises that are supposed to naturally enlarge the penis, called "jelqing," are also not approved but have shown some promising results if performed correctly. Companies that offer training programs in these exercises often equate penis exercise to bodybuilding. They claim that since exercise can increase muscle size, why shouldn't it increase penis size as well? This comparison is not valid, however, because the penis is not a muscle (for more information, please see our overview of the male reproductive system). However, this method holds more promise than either pills or pumps. It is possible that the exercise techniques increase the capacity of the corpora cavernosa to allow more blood engorgement in the penis, which could result in a stronger, firmer erection. Although the penis itself does not really increase in size, a stronger erection might accomplish the same thing. These results have not been scientifically proven after many years of research, but there is some evidence, based on a few studies and testimonials, that this method might be effective in penis enlargement. Another important question is the permanence of the results. It is possible that the exercises simply cause a temporary increase in the amount of blood in the penis during the exercises, which customers can misinterpret as a permanently larger penis.
The only method of penile enlargement that is widely considered effective in the medical community is penile enlargement surgery. Penile enlargement surgery mostly just adds length and girth to the flaccid penis, which is, of course, not very useful while engaging in sexual intercourse. The corresponding increase in size to the erect penis is either not as dramatic or nonexistent, depending on whom you ask. In addition, the possible side effects are serious enough to make surgery too risky for any male, except for those with an exceptionally small penis. Many doctors who offer this service will not perform the surgery unless a male's penis is so small that it can be considered a medical condition.

Harmful side effects of the penis enlargement surgery include disfigurement of the penis, nerve damage, and loss of ability to achieve erection. This is the case for the type of penile enhancement surgery that involves cutting the connective tissue that anchors the penis to the pubic bone. Another type of surgery injects fat from other parts of the body (such as the buttocks or abdomen) into the penis. While this surgery is much simpler and safer, the results are generally temporary since the body gradually reabsorbs the fat.
The possible negative effects of non-surgical enlargement options are much less clear. There are reports of exercises that were done improperly, resulting in injuries to the penis. Pumps have also been reported to cause injuries when used incorrectly. Natural pills and creams have not been known to cause serious damage, but it is too soon to say for sure that they are safe to use. Also, some of the ingredients in these products have been known to increase blood pressure.
Penis enlargement is a budding industry, so it is difficult to determine the actual results and possible side effects at this point in time. For now, it is probably wise to remain skeptical of claimed results and wary of the possible unknown side effects.
